It’s been a minute since I last posted. I wound up defaulting to Facebook, but have recently found myself desiring a bit of distance from the platform in favor of a return to a more intimate, self-centered world of thought sharing. In the time since I last posted, I:
- Was hired as an in-house illustrator for Cognia (formerly Measured Progress), a non-profit standard assessment organization,
- Made the move from my paternal grandparents’ home (where I grew up) up to coastal New Hampshire for the job,
- Adopted a feline pal named Petro to provide Ambassador Doombringer companionship when I’m away all day at work,
- Lost my selfless grandfather less than 2 years after the move,
- Began officiating roller derby again, this time as an independent official, attaining certification again and enjoying the experience much more than the first go-round,
- Dove deeper than ever into motorcycling, gaining a significant amount of wrenching & riding experience on a 2016 Moto Guzzi V7 for 6 years now,
- Toured Spain, Turkey, and parts of Canada on motorcycle,
- Quit roller derby when Covid shut everything down, finding a convenient time to bow out this time to focus more on the art and save my knees from further damage,
- Bought a Ural sidecar motorcycle,
- Broke the Ural sidecar motorcycle,
- Sold the Ural sidecar motorcycle,
- Bought a sidecar for my Moto Guzzi,
- Broke the Moto Guzzi,
- Rebuilt the Moto Guzzi,
- Contemplated selling the Moto Guzzi,
- Bought a 1978 BMW R80/7 to replace the Moto Guzzi,
- Decided to keep the Moto Guzzi,
- Leased the car out instead to make room for 2 motorcycles and a sidecar,
- Dated wonderful women,
- Broke up with wonderful women,
- And kept the freelancing as a (very) leisurely side gig, focusing (slightly) more on personal projects.
…and now that we’re all caught up, let’s keep moving on. Stay tuned, and thanks for following!
Short and sweet... I'm sensing a motorcycle theme.
